In other news I recently bought a �25 game for my 6 year old (I think, a launch model) DS Lite and I've pumped more hours into that one game than all 50 or so of my iOS games combined.

My 2008 macbook could use to be upgraded... It still runs great, but I need something with more storage, RAM, and a little faster for video editing. I need a quad core, 4-8gb ram and a min of 750gb hard drive. I have moved to externals for now - but that is a pain when you need to go somewhere.

I mostly use my iPad when I am out - however I still need something powerful. Since my min spec would be the 15-inch MBP, that is a little big to carry around. Thinking about an iMac; but either way I do not have the $2K for the specs I need.

Man, I wish the economy would improve so that I can find employment. Especially a type of job I am passionate about, not just one to be miserable; but pays the bills. But right now I don't have a job so beggars can't be choosers.

celticpride678Apr 3, 12:51 AM??? My 25gb partition was clean and blank when I installed Lion DP 1 and I think that's the case for most others as well. I'm not sure where you heard that, if I'm understanding you correctly.

It worked for me too on DP1. On DP2, I had to install Snow Leopard first.

tk421Jul 14, 12:23 AMMeh, Apple came out with that Express Card slot for the MacBook Pro kind of early as well...but I'm with most people in arguing that a blue-ray drive won't see the light of day in Apple computers until early 2007.

Good point, and this isn't just with Express Card, either. Apple was an early adopter with 802.11b (with the original iBook, I think). They were early to drop the floppy drive, too.

I for one would love a Blu-Ray drive, but I understand that others might not. They should make it a BTO option.

I think he means more like XP SP2 / Vista. They have a Security Center which gives you your firewall settings, antivirus (if installed) and spyware protection (if installed). Its nice to have it all in one place, no one wants to go digging thru logs, you are crazy.... LOL

The return rate of all Apple products, across all of their hardware lines are lowest in the entire industry.

The iPhone 4 fiasco had a return rate half of that of the iPhone 3GS that everyone loved.

benjsApr 12, 10:36 PMWow, looks like the rumours WERE true after all! Apple killed the Pro of Final Cut Pro. That guy who turned the much admired iMovie into garbage has done it again. All they had to do was rewrite the engine with 64 bit support, had proper file handling, rendering titling tools amongst other necessary pro features and keep the same F*&$#@*&& interface as pro users of ANY pro software don't want to re-learn an interface for no reason! It takes YEARS before you really know a software under the hood.

We'll now see FCPx turn into a hit with amateurs and will be completely abandoned by pro users who will all return to avid.

You've been using the beta for months, right? Or are you a developer for Apple? Because if neither of these are true, you have seen either some poor quality cell phone video of a short demo of this program, or several poor quality still pictures of this product, along with hearing short introductions to key features. If the latter is true, I'm sorry, but I really don't believe you are justified in saying what you have. The companies who embrace change rather than fearing it remain relevant, and Apple is notoriously good at providing a quick learning curve on their products due to strong UI focus.

Honestly though, am I the only one who thinks they should change/add/replace iTunes and just keep it for music, and make a separate app for videos & films (or something)? The "iTunes Movie Store"? That sounds like the "Home Depot Car Dealership & Laser Tag Center". I understand Apples' all about simplicity, but buying movies from the music store to play in iTunes...then again it does make it simpler for the iPod...meh. I just think some form of change should be made here.

Obviously, it is Christian in nature (well, Exodus was in the Torah, so I suppose it could in theory be Jewish), its main focus being as a tool to help homosexuals recover from the f'upedness with the healing hand of jesus (lord, save us from your followers). So, yeah, whilst the concept is lame or offensive, there is a fair abundance of that on the app store already.

So, now some are calling for its removal. Is that the right thing to do? I mean, clearly a person whose sexual orientation is corrected by the church inevitably becomes just miserable and insufferable, the hallmarks of someone trying to be something they are not. A small minority are advocating a view that has soundly been debunked because the idea that a few of the wrong kind of people might exist and offend their sensibilities (quid pro quo).

Does this app represent nothing more than plain foolishness, some misguided folks expressing their opinion and showing that they care for others? Or is it an attempt to perpetuate a vile and dangerous mth that has cause inestimable pain and misery for as long as recorded history? And can I use it to... Oh, wait... :eek:
